Phil Jost

Phil grew up in Belleville, IL where he drove down to Ye Old Music Shop in the '60's & 70's. Bob Heil would often rent out Phil's Hammond C-3 and Phil got to sit behind Charlie Watts onstage at the Stones "Let It Bleed Tour" in 1969. On that infamous night at the Fox Theater in 1970 when Bob brought in that PA for the Grateful Dead concert, Phil was there. Thanks to Bob and Peter Townshend, Phil had the 1st Mellotron in the US.

Phil played in numerous Rock Bands in the late 60's and 70's opening up for the James Gang with Joe Walsh, Poco & The Eagles. He moved to LA and worked with numerous recording acts such as Stanley Clark, Jeff Beck, Kansas, Missing Persons, Devo and Supertramp.

Phil has performed at "The Bitter End in New York, The "Whiskey" in Hollywood and toured with The Knack doing My Sharona to 20,000 in 1981. He has appeared on American Bandstand with Dick Clark, The tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Solid Gold.

Phil has had numerous titles in his life, including Pianist, Violinist, Organist, Clinician, Product Specialist, Recording Engineer, Producer, Composer, Regional Sales Manager, Product Manager and of course Big Brother to his Sibling Sisters - who appeared with him in his group "Sibling Rivalry" at the first ever NSCA Concert events in St. Louis and Charlotte NC.

Phil has also contributed music to "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", The "Guiding Light" soap opera, and Star-Trek Video Games by Activision.
