. PR 22s. PR 30B's, PR 40s and a HDK-8 drum mic kit were brought in to augment the live music portion of the show, which will vary in each city.
With a new singer and new album in place, FOH mixer, Tom Abraham, brought in new Heil Sound microphones. Abraham has worked with Velvet Revolver, Shakira, and Garbage, among others, and has been a proponent of Heil mics for some time.
The Stone Temple Pilots have chosen Heil Sound microphones to be a large part of their summer tour inventory. The tour, which began July 1 in West Hollywood's House of Blues, plays at casinos, festivals and sheds throughout the U.S.
Thirty-five years ago, Bob Heil built one of his now famous talk boxes and gave it to Peter Frampton as a Christmas present. Peter had left Humble Pie and was embarking on what would become a stellar solo career. As history proved, that Talkbox played a huge role. "Frampton Comes Alive!" released in 1976, went on to become the best-selling live album ever recorded.
The High Strung have played over 600 shows in the last 4 years. With a touring life that on a good day is hectic, the band chose Heil Sound microphones to be one of their few constants.
