Heil BM-10iC Headsets Employed on BS7H Scarborough Reef DX-pedition

Scarborough DX-pedition on Reef

The 2007 Scarborough Reef DX-pedition, using the callsign BS7H, is now history! In one week of operation, the multinational operating team made 45,820 contacts with 17,884 separate stations.

The BS7H operation took place on scaffolding built onto tiny rocks protruding from a coral reef in the South China Sea. Because of the extreme danger involved in landing on the islets, light weight and compact size were prime considerations when specifying equipment to be used on the expedition.

Heil Sound BM-10iC Boomsets, renowned for their high performance and extremely light weight, were chosen for use on the 2007 BS7H operation. The operators reported their performance was flawless, and their light weight made them ideal for long operating stints during the expedition.
