Newington, CT
January 29, 2008
Heil Sound's Vice President for Amateur Sales and Marketing Chip Margelli, K7JA visited the headquarters of ARRL--the National Organization for Amateur Radio--today in conjunction with Heil Sound's contribution of new equipment to the W1AW and W1HQ stations at ARRL's home in Newington. Heil Sound headsets and microphones have long been utilized at W1AW, and with the rebirth of W1HQ, the ARRL Headquarters Operators' Club, Heil Sound has contributed two Pro Set 5 boom mic/headset combos, along with a PR 781 deluxe base station microphone system.
The W1HQ station is used by ARRL employees after hours for recreation, as well as training for new Hams employed by the ARRL, helping to build their familiarity with the many exciting facets of HF and VHF operation.
Accepting the microphones on behalf of ARRL were Executive Vice President Dave Sumner, K1ZZ, Membership Manager Katie Breen, W1KRB, Contest Branch Manager Sean Kutzko, KX9X, and W1AW Station Manager Joe Carcia, NJ1Q.
